❌ DON'Ts

● Avoid Sudden Temperature Changes (Crucial): Keep away from heaters, radiators, or AC vents. If bringing them from the cold outdoors into a warm room, let them acclimate before handling. Rapid temperature shifts may cause cracking.

● Keep Away from Water: Walnuts expand when wet and shrink when dry, which leads to cracking. If they accidentally get wet, wipe them immediately and let them air dry naturally for several days.

● Avoid Dropping: Like fine wood, walnuts can chip or crack if dropped on hard surfaces. Handle with care.

Natural Characteristics

● Dark Residue in Crevices: Any dark spots in the grooves are simply remnants of the natural fruit pulp. You can easily clean these using the brush provided.

● Whitish Residue: A white, powdery appearance is a natural phenomenon known as "alkali return" (Fan Jian). This can be brushed away with the complimentary brush.

● Growth Lines: White or yellow lines are natural growth veins of the walnut. These "tendons" will gradually blend in and disappear over time as the patina develops; they do not affect the quality or durability.
